Cambridge Web Cams

This magnificent view of Cambridge is taken from the Cambridge University library tower. You can see for miles from the tower which stands close to the Backs - the famous grass-covered banks of the River Cam. In spring they are carpeted with crocus and daffodils.

In summer you can take a punt along the river and enjoy the archtectural glories of the riverside colleges.

The Bridge of Signs at St John's College: The Bridge of Sighs - inspired by the famous bridge in Venice over which codemned prisoners sighed as they were led to their deaths! Best viewed from St John's Old Bridge, it is one of Cambridge's more popular tourist attractions. Unlike its namesake in Venice, the barred windows are designed to prevent students entering at night, rather than to escape!
